Ai Ai on Jed: 'No more love, only hate'
MANILA, Philippines -- Ai Ai delas Alas no longer feels love for Jed Salang, but the comedienne is cautious not to nurture ill feelings toward her former partner.
During the live telecast of "Showbiz Inside Report" aired Saturday, co-host Ogie Diaz, a close friend of delas Alas, shared a conversation between them following the actress' televised confession of her separation from Salang.
"Kahapon nakausap ko siya," Diaz said. "Tinanong ko si Ai Ai, 'May pag-ibig ka pa ba kay Jed?'"
According to the entertainment reporter, delas Alas responded, "Wala na. Ang meron sa akin, galit. Galit, sama ng loob."
"Pero alam ko bad ito," Diaz quoted delas Alas as saying. "Ayoko ng ganitong feeling. Kaya pinag-aaralan kong mawala... Pero up to now, hindi ko pa rin ma-imagine na meron palang ganoong tao."
Last Sunday, an emotional delas Alas admitted in a taped interview on "The Buzz" that she and Salang, her husband of one month, broke up after he allegedly physically abused her.
Weighing in on the controversy, "Showbiz Inside Report" co-host Janice de Belen on Saturday agreed it is normal for delas Alas to feel anger towards Salang.
"It really is a process. Siguro mas okay na ngang galit siya, kasi at least iyon 'yung totoong nararamdaman niya," de Belen said.
"Because if she says na hindi siya galit, parang hindi pa siya nakaka-start ng recovery niya. Kasi normal lang ang magalit, e. Siyempre nasaktan ka. Normal lang na magalit ka," she said.
In the days following her "The Buzz" interview, delas Alas has taken to image-sharing service Instagram to share photos of her with loved ones from whom she draws strength.
On the same social networking site, delas Alas also shared messages of "moving on" and "turning negative things into positive."
