MANILA -- Actress Kim Chiu seems open to the possibility of doing a Filipino version of the hit Asian series "Meteor Garden" with leading man Xian Lim.
But in an interview on Tuesday night at the PEP List awards night, Chiu stressed that as far as she knows, there are no plans to make a remake of the Taiwanese series that is current being aired again on ABS-CBN.
She also said the rumors probably started when they shot a "Meteor Garden"-inspired scene for the network's station ID.
"Hindi namin nalam. Pero kung totoo man, bakit naman hindi?" said Chiu.
What is definite, according to Chiu, is that she and Lim will be working on a new movie for Star Cinema.
"Next month magi-start ang lahat. So sana suportahan nila kami like what ther did sa 'Bride For Rent,'" she said, referring to their hit romantic-comedy movie, which was released early this year.
"Next month na namin mararamdaman 'yung pressure kapag nalaman na namin 'yung kwento, kapag nagsimula na," Chiu added.
In the interview, Chiu also reacted on an Instagram post by a fan claiming that she saw Chiu and Lim dating in Subic.
The actress denied the fan's claim that Lim allegedly admitted that he and Chiu are now officially a couple.
