MANILA - The age of her suitors may not matter to actress and former beauty queen Ruffa Gutierrez, but she admitted that she finds older men "boring."

In an interview on "Aquino & Abunda Tonight" on Tuesday, the 39-year-old revealed that as long as her suitor is legally an adult, she is not ruling out anyone.

"For me naman, it is compatibility, maturity. Hindi naman importante 'yung age. As long as you think the same, and the same compatibility level, okay lang," Gutierrez said.

Asked why she tends to gravitate towards younger men, she quipped, "Mga matatanda boring eh!"

Gutierrez's former husband, Turkish businessman Yilmaz Bektas, is 3 years her junior, while her former boyfriend, actor John Lloyd Cruz, is 30.

She believes that "younger guys like the older women and older men like the younger girls," but reiterated that age is not an issue with her.

Not dating anyone yet

Gutierrez, who plays the older girlfriend of Coco Martin's character in the upcoming film "Maybe This Time," revealed that she is not "officially" dating anyone.

She said that her posts on her social media accounts that seem to hint on romance are just a "hobby."

"No, no one yet officially. Kasi I'm so busy with it," she said, referring to the Star Cinema film, which also stars actress and pop singer Sarah Geronimo.

Asked if she's looking for someone to be in a relationship with, she said, "I think it's better that love will find you, because if you keep on looking, you'll end up with the wrong guys."
