MANILA - A behind-the-scenes look at "Dementia," the suspense-horror film starring screen veteran Nora Aunor and showbiz newcomer Jasmine Curtis-Smith, has been released.
Directed by Perci Intalan, the movie centers on Mara (Aunor), a woman suffering from dementia, and her niece, Rachel (Curtis-Smith), as they stay in an ancestral home in the province.
Rachel hopes to trigger Mara's memories by bringing her back to the place where she grew up.
The situation makes a turn for the worse, however, when Mara instead dredges up nightmares from her past.
Produced by The IdeaFirst Company and Octobertrain Films, "Dementia" is said to be Aunor's first horror film in decades.
It is also the second film starring the veteran actress slated for release in 2014, following the earlier announced "Padre de Familia" co-starring Coco Martin.
"Dementia" will be released in theaters in September.
