MANILA, Philippines – Singer Angeline Quinto has revealed that she has a secret project.
But it is not a new movie or a new album, but a new house for her family.
"Nagpapagawa ako ngayon ng bahay," the singer told “Showbiz Inside Report.”
Quinto's mother Sylvia, affectionately known as "Mama Bab," does not know about the project.
Masaya ako, sobra," she said.
According to Quinto, she and her mother have not always had it easy.
Angeline told Showbiz Inside Report that while the ABS-CBN singing contest Star Power was ongoing, her adoptive mother was in the hospital due to a cardiac problem.
"Nag-50/50 si Mama Bab sa ospital sa Heart Center, kaya ‘di siya nakapunta noong announcement ng winner," she said.
Her mother's medical care cost about P200,000, she said, and she had to pawn the title to their Sampaloc house so she could pay the hospital bill.
However, she was able to take back the title when she won Star Power in 2011.
"Nasa akin na ulit ang titulo ng bahay namin," she said.
