MANILA – James Reid suffered a minor accident while in Las Vegas for the kick-off of the "Jadine High on Love” US tour which he headlines with girlfriend Nadine Lustre.
According to a report by entertainment site Push, Reid was hurt after he hit his knee on the stairs of their bus because of the huge crowd.
Reid’s knee was reportedly swollen and his doctors advised him to take some rest.
In a post by Viva Artist Agency on its official Instagram account, Reid can be seen in crutches with his right leg wrapped with a cast.
Because of what happened, Reid supposedly failed to show up at a meet-and-greet event which angered some of their fans.
While some of them thought Reid was just making an excuse not to go to the event, stand-up comedian Chad Kinis, who is currently with the couple in Las Vegas, defended the actor against false accusations.
“James is not making excuses for not making it to see the fans that are waiting for them. Please understand.
So please po next time let's just be more careful and not hurt someone.”
He then asked for Reid’s fans to pray for the actor’s immediate recovery.
"JaDine High on Love" is the continuation of Reid and Lustre's European tour early this year. They held performances in the Middle East, Paris, London, and Milan.
