MANILA -- Actress-host Kris Aquino is free to get married again after she happily shared that she finally got her "certificate of no marriage" from the National Statistics Office (NSO).
On the Thursday episode of her morning show "Kris TV," Aquino shared the process of getting the certificate after her marriage to basketball star James Yap was annulled two-and-a-half years ago.
"When you go to NSO you will get this cenomar, certificate of no marriage. For it to be valid iche-check mo. Akala ng maraming tao once nagpa-annul ka, annulled ka na but it has to go through talaga. Pupunta ka doon sa registrar kung saan ka nagpakasal, kung saan ka nagpa-annul -- may mga tatatak diyan -- at kailangan the judge will also sign, lalo na if you had property settlement. Tapos after all that natatakan 'yan at napirmahan ng lahat, doon mo pa lang ipapadala sa NSO," Aquino said.
"So imagine, I was annulled two-and-a-half-years halos, pero nabuo lahat ng papeles, nito lang. So ito siya, si certificate of no marriage. So 'yan na 'yan talaga," she continued.
"For all those people, they should be aware of that. Kasi if you don't have this from the NSO, technically if ever the time comes na you want to be married, tapos hindi mo ito inasikaso, it can delay all your plans for up to six months. So ang message ko lang sa inyo is be very sure before you get married," Aquino said.
Asked by her guest co-host Erich Gonzales if she's still planning to get married again, Aquino said: "Hindi na siguro."
"But I went to this geomancer... (ang sinabi) if I do decide na magpapakasal, after my birthday nitong 2015 hanggang mamatay na daw ako, basta kailangan after ...kung sino man siya. Sabi ko, 'Ayaw ko ng mahiwalay ulit.' Sinabi, 'ito yung forever,'" she said.
