MANILA - Former ABS-CBN star Sandara Park, who is now one-fourth of the wildly popular K-pop girl group 2NE1, was asked on Wednesday to set the record straight on Justin Bieber and Lee Min Ho, both international heartthrobs linked to her at different times.
In her live interview on "Aquino & Abunda Tonight," the 29-year-old performer recalled meeting Canadian superstar Bieber for the first time at a party. A photo of Bieber kissing Park on her cheek that night later went viral.
"Pumunta siya sa Korea para mag-concert," Park said in fluent Tagalog. "Wala lang, 'Hi, pa-picture tayo!' 'Bye!' Gano'n lang."
The photo, which was posted online by Korean-American jeweler Ben Baller, was reportedly taken during an event in October 2013 launching K-pop singer Jay Park's new record label, "AOMG."
Park also clarified her personal ties with Lee Min Ho, who is popular in the Philippines following telecasts of his TV shows here, including "Boys Over Flowers," "City Hunter," and soon on ABS-CBN, "The Heirs."
Park laughed when co-hosts Kris Aquino and Boy Abunda brought up her famous kissing scene with Lee, which was part of a 2009 ad campaign for Cass, a brand of beer in Korea.
Asked whether Lee is courting her, Park said, "Hindi po, trabaho lang po!"
The "Star Circle Quest" runner-up's live interview on Wednesday was one of her promotional stops for the concert of 2NE1 at the Mall of Asia Arena on Saturday.
Before the show, which will coincide with the group's fifth anniversary, Park will also make a guest appearance on ABS-CBN's "Pinoy Big Brother: All In" on Thursday, during its afternoon and primetime telecast.
