With Alex inside 'PBB' house, what happens to 'Pure Love'?
MANILA – After Alex Gonzaga entered the “Pinoy Big Brother” (PBB) as a celebrity house guest last month, what happens now to her upcoming shows?
Gonzaga has been inside the ‘PBB’ for almost three weeks now and there is still no news as to when she is going to leave the famous yellow house.
But in an interview with ABS-CBN News’ Gretchen Fullido on Tuesday, actor Joseph Marco revealed that he is still working on the Filipino adaptation of the Koren TV series “Pure Love,” which will star Gonzaga.
“I am currently doing ‘Pure Love’ with Alex Gonzaga na nasa bahay ni Kuya so hindi ko alam kung kailan lalabas,” he said.
Aside from Gonzaga, the series also stars Arjo Atayde, Yam Concepcion, Sunshine Cruz, Yen Santos and Matt Evans.
“[Si Alex ang ka-love team] and also Yen Santos, parang triangle pero si Alex talaga ang makakasama ko,” Marco said.
The SBS series, which originally aired in South Korea as "49 Days" in May 2011, aired the same year on ABS-CBN. It centered on optimistic bride-to-be Ji-hyun (Nam Gyu-ri), who ends up in a coma after a massive pile-up.
While in a coma, Ji-Hyun is told by the "angel of death" that it is not yet her time to die and that she will wake up again if she fulfills a mission -- gather three teardrops shed out of pure love by three people not related to her by blood within the next 49 days.
The task proves more difficult, however, when Ji-Hyun finds herself in the body of Yi-kyung, a depressed woman whose attempt to kill herself triggered the pile-up.
While ABS-CBN has yet to announce when “Pure Love” will air, Marco and Cruz both said they are continuously taping episodes for the show, despite Gonzaga's absence
Meanwhile, Marco said he is grateful to ABS-CBN for giving him breaks in showbiz.
“Everything is falling into place. I’m just so happy and contented with everything that’s happening to me right now. Siguro since I’m a frustrated singer, album sana soon,” he said.
Aside from “Pure Love,” the actor said he will also do a movie for Viva Films and Star Cinema soon.
