MANILA -- Contrary to public perception that she wants to confront Krista Miller, who allegedly had an affair with Cesar Montano, actress Sunshine Cruz said she is even "thankful" to the starlet.
"Actually 'yung sinasabi niya sa interview na baka daw sampalin ko siya kapag nakita ko siya, I might even hug her. I am thankful nakawala ako, na ang inaakala ko I only have less than P100,000 in my bank account and now here I am," Cruz said in an interview on "Kris TV" on Monday.
"Ayaw ko na and maybe I realized na he is not happy with me. Baka may kulang, ano man yan. Eh di sana ay mahanap niya sa susunod niyang partner," she told host Kris Aquino.
Miller has denied having an affair with Montano, her co-star in the 2013 movie "Alfredo S. Lim: The Untold Story."
Cruz also said she no longer loves Montano, her husband for 13 years.
"Kung papipiliin ako between love and respect, mawala na 'yung pagmamahal mo sa akin pero sana 'yung respeto nandoon," Cruz said.
In the interview, Cruz also narrated the incident that led to their separation.
"December 'yon, January nag-hiwalay. Nakita ko 'yung text, ako mismo. Bago kami pumunta ng boxing sa Vegas, nakita ko 'yung text. Sabi ko, don't entertain her. Sabi ko, baka trouble 'yan. Sabi niya, 'Hindi, friend lang.' Sabi ko, 'Trouble 'yan, ihinto mo na.' Eh hindi inihinto, eh di naghiwalay," she said.
