MANILA, Philippines -Columnist Ramon Tulfo scored Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) police after he was beaten up by the camp of celebrity couple Raymart Santiago and Claudine Barretto on Sunday.
In an interview with Umagang Kay Ganda, Tulfo said airport authorities were useless during the brawl at the NAIA Terminal 3.
Wala silang nagawa," Tulfo said.
Tulfo stressed that if only the airport police and security guards did their jobs, he would not have been mauled.
"Kaya ako nagapi dahil I submitted myself to the authority. I put my guard down," he said.
Tulfo, a hard-hitting journalist who reportedly knows martial arts, said he wasn't ready to fight the couple's camp.
"I'm very fit.
In the interview, the journalist also denied that he kicked Barretto on the leg before the brawl started.
He stressed that it was Santiago who first hit him.
Meanwhile, NAIA assistant general manager Bing Lina said they are now finishing the incident report.
