MANILA - After almost two months on air, "Dyesebel" lead stars Anne Curtis and Gerald Anderson finally shared the screen in ABS-CBN's top-rating fantaserye.
In the episode of the primetime series on Monday, a human Dyesebel (Curtis) tries to navigate Manila as she searches for her adoptive mother, Banak (Ai Ai delas Alas), who she believes was captured by fishermen.
Unknown to her, Banak is still in the merfolk's kingdom, in the hands of the evil queen Dyangga (Eula Valdez).
While trying to find her way in Manila, Dyesebel gets almost hit by speeding cars several times, among them Fredo's (Anderson).
The two, who became friends as children when Fredo was stranded on an island, appear to immediately have a connection.
Dyesebel's human form debuted in the fantaserye's episode aired last May 2, after a successful first month as the Philippines' most watched TV program.
In April, "Dyesebel" topped nationwide ratings, having averaged an audience share of 28.5% for the month, according to market research group Kantar Media.
"Dyesebel" airs weeknights after "TV Patrol" during ABS-CBN's Primetime Bida block.
