MANILA, Philippines - Mommy Dionisia Pacquiao on Friday said she is excited to hear news that her son, Sarangani Rep. and 8-division boxing champ Manny "the Pacman" Pacquiao, is going to buy her a Hermès luxury designer bag worth P1 million.
Mommy Dionisia said she had been informed by Manny's wife, Jinkee, that the bag will be just one of many gifts that the family will bring home after Pacquiao's fight with "Sugar" Shane Mosley this weekend.
"Pagbalik nila bitbit na nila yun. Kasama na sa mga regalo ko. Parang souvenir habang naglalaro pa ang anak ko," she said in an interview on ANC's "Headstart."
Asked why she didn't ask for jewelry from Manny, she said: "Marami namang mga binigay na si Manny."
The Pacmom said she will again skip the live telecast of her son's bout this Saturday (Sunday in Manila) since she feels sorry every time she sees Manny getting hit.
"I'll watch the replay because I already prayed," she said.
Mommy Dionisia reiterated her request that her son hang up his boxing gloves especially since he has more than enough to live comfortably for the rest of his life and ensure a good future for his children.
Pacquiao recently signed an endorsement deal with Hewlett Packard and has been included in ESPN The Magazine's Best Paid Athletes of 2010.
"May negosyo naman siya lahat. Hindi naman nabalewala ang pera niya. Marami nang nabili na property," Mommy Dionisia said.
The Pacmom, who appeared in a movie last year opposite former President Joseph Estrada, admitted that she has many suitors but had spurned them all.
"Very strong lang ang nanay. Wala na sa isip ko yan. Isa lang ang dapat mamahalin," she said.
