Entertainment writer-reporter Ogie Diaz has admitted that some people are pushing and encouraging him to run for Quezon City councilor.
Although he has been open about his dream of helping other people, Diaz is still undecided if he will run in next year’s elections.
"Sa ngayon, puro buyo-buyo pa lang… naghihintay pa ako ng sign," Diaz told abs-cbnNEWS.com in a phone interview.
Diaz named QC 2nd district councilor Aiko Melendez as one of those who are trying to convince him to join politics. If he decides to run, it will be as a councilor of the city’s third district, the entertainment journalist added.
Known for his juicy articles and reports, Diaz is a newspaper columnist. He used to be part of an ABS-CBN morning show, “Umagang Kay Ganda,” but he was dismissed from the program reportedly due to a violation of its code of ethics.
The popular entertainment writer has also tried acting. He is currently part of ABS-CBN's hit television series "May Bukas Pa."
