MANILA – After revealing his leaner body in Boracay two weeks ago, John Lloyd Cruz finally went topless in a commercial shoot for one of his endorsements.
In a video posted by Century Tuna in its YouTube account on Friday, Cruz is seen flexing his muscles as he shows off his leaner body.
The "Home Sweetie Home" star was introduced in February as the newest endorser of Century Tuna, which stages the annual Superbods pageant that promotes a healthy lifestyle.
Cruz joined actress Anne Curtis in its roster of celebrity endorsers.
In a previous interview with ABS-CBN News, Cruz said he lost 18 pounds after undergoing a six-week weight-loss program.
Cruz, however, admitted that it did not come easy for him since he got into an accident during the fitness program.
“Yung accident medyo nakaapekto. Bahay lang ako for two weeks nun, almost three weeks. Malaking chunk 'yung natanggal sa time namin. But with the help of my trainer and 'yung superbods diet, 'yun talaga 'yung nakatulong,” he said.
Cruz got into an accident while shooting for the ABS-CBN Summer Station ID last February, when he fell off a bike face front.
During the Century Superbods event in Boracay, Cruz did not go topless as he worked the runway. More than having a physical transformation, Cruz said what’s more important for his is to become healthier.
“Gusto ko 'yung magiging effect niya sa katawan ko, 'yung transformation ng katawan should be just parang secondary result lang. Ang talagang intention is to get into a healthier lifestyle. 'Yung katawan bonus na lang 'yun sa process,” he said.
