Kim Chiu grateful after reconciliation with Maja
MANILA – Kim Chiu no longer wants to publicize her reconciliation with her erstwhile best friend, Maja Salvador.
In an interview with “Buzz ng Bayan” on Sunday, Chiu was asked whether she still has anything to say after she and “The Legal Wife” actress patched up their differences.
Responding quickly to the question, Chiu said, “Wala na siguro [akong gustong sabihin]. Everything is okay. Thank you kay God na maayos na ang lahat. Para maging masaya na rin tayong lahat.”
In an interview with ABS-CBN News last month, Chiu said she considers their reconciliation as one of the best birthday gifts she has ever received.
Saying she now feels relieved, Chiu said at the time, “Hindi naman 'yun plinano, pero parang wala naman na talaga so bakit ka pa magho-hold ng grudge?”
Chiu also said she is just happy that she, Salvador and Gerald Anderson have all moved on.
“Life goes on. We have to be thankful sa lahat ng dumadaan sa buhay natin. Tanggapin na lang natin lahat ng nangyari kasi it's part of our life. I-enjoy lang natin ang buhay,” she said.
According to Salvador, she was the one who reached out to Chiu when she felt that it was the right time.
"Hindi po kasi maganda kung pipilitan namin. Ngayon, feeling ko 'yung nangyari, perfect timing lahat," she added, referring to the year-long period she and Chiu were estranged.
Asked what triggered her to reach out, Salvador said, "Noong nakita ko siya sa gym... Humingi ako ng sign. Kasi doon sa gym, nag-relax ako, nag-isip-isip... Kasi doon 'yung bonding namin dati, sa gym na 'yon. So parang sabi ko, 'Ay, grabe, ang tagal namin hindi nagkita tapos magkikita kami, dito pa.'"
