MANILA, Philippines -- Young actress Julia Montes said she's not threatened by Angeline Quinto, who is currently doing a movie with her "Walang Hanggan" leading man Coco Martin.
"Hindi naman ako nate-threatened singer din naman ako, joke lang. Pero kasi iba din ang (team up) nila. Iba din ang role dito ni Coco, so makikita din 'yung pagiging aktor ni Coco at si Angeline first time (sa acting)," Montes told abs-cbnNEWS.com on Thursday afternoon after her contract signing with Star Cinema.
In fact, Montes said she hopes that moviegoers will also accept the team up of Quinto and Martin.
"Kung mag-boom eh di masaya ako siyempre dahil sa first movie ni Ate Angeline," Montes said.
Montes said she's really enjoying working with Martin, especially since the hit TV show has been getting good reviews and has consistently high ratings.
"Mas lalo kaming naging hardwoking kasi every time na nakakatanggap kami ng good feedback parang lalo kaming nae-enganyo na ibigay ang best namin every scenes. Lalong nae-excite every week, kasi pa-intense ng pa-intense ang mga nagaganap sa Walang Hanggan,'" she said.
Montes admitted that she's also getting closer to Martin.
"Siguro connection (oo mayroon), parang everytime na lumalalim ang role namin eh mas lalo naming nakikilala ang isa't isa," she said.
Asked if their relationship might lead to a real romance, Montes replied: "Hindi naman."
"Masasabi ko din naman na crush (pero) paghanga dahil sa magaling siya, gwapo, mabait at gentleman so wala ka na ding hahanapin," Montes said.
Currently, Montes is also shooting her new film "The Reunion" with Enrique Gil as her leading man. She is also set to come out in another movie with Enchong Dee.
