MANILA, Philippines - Kylie Minogue will finally be coming to Manila for a concert this July via her Aphrodite Live 2011 World Tour.
This marks the icon’s first-ever performance in the Philippines and already anticipated to be one of the best to be staged. She will perform on July 5 at the Araneta Coliseum.
Inspired by the Greek mythology and culture, the brand new extravagant Aphrodite Live 2011 will feature an array of specially designed props, including a 14-feet tall golden Pegasus, a golden Chariot, five video screens and a sweeping staircase. Audiences can also look forward to enjoy the performance from an entourage of aerialists and mysterious flying angels.
Costume-wise, Aphrodite Live 2011 will feature 200 glamorous outfits and 100 different pairs of shoes that were made of over a million diamante crystals and nearly 1,000 feathers. The Aphrodite herself will also be carrying the bespoke Dolce & Gabbana costumes for the entire show. Spectacular choreography, lighting and video content are also to be featured in the euphoric journey of joy, excitement and dazzling glamour.
Over the course of her extraordinary 20-plus-year-career, Kylie has been a global force in pop music and is one of the world’s most successful female artists with more than 60 million albums sold worldwide and over 50 chart-topping hits, including Locomotion, I Should Be So Lucky, Got To Be Certain, Especially For You, Spinning Around, On a Night Like This, Can’t Get You Out of My Head, In Your Eyes, Love at First Sight, Come Into My World, Slow, I Believe In You, Wow, All I See and her latest chart-toppers All the Lovers, Get Outta My Way and Higher, a duet with Taio Cruz.
