'It Takes a Man and a Woman' run extended

MANILA, Philippines - The screening of "It Takes a Man and a Woman," the third installment in the series of romantic-comedy films starring John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo, has been extended.

This good news for fans of Cruz and Geronimo was announced on the ABS-CBN noontime program "It's Showtime" on Tuesday.

"Ito naman, para sa mga fans ng love team ni Miggy (Cruz) at Laida (Geronimo). Due to insistent public demand, extended ang love story nila. Showing na at showing pa rin in 94 cinemas all over the country ang 'It Takes a Man and a Woman.' Once again, congratulations, Lloydie and Sarah," said "It's Showtime" host Billy Crawford.

"It Takes a Man and a Woman" has earned P375 million in ticket sales, and is now the second highest-grossing Filipino film of all time, following the 2012 Metro Manila Film Festival entry, "Sisterakas."

It is also the biggest earning non-MMFF entry.

Early this month, Cruz and Geronimo, said they are open to doing a fourth installment in their series of rom-com films.
