MANILA, Philippines – TV viewers were touched after “Aryana” lead actress Ella Cruz thanked her mom for being supportive of her dreams.
In an interview with “The Buzz” on Sunday, Cruz became emotional as she described how her mother really stood by her through thick and thin.
Cruz said it is true that success comes only to people who are persistent and determined to reach their goals.
The child actress admitted there were also times when she would lose hope when she gets rejected during auditions.
However, she said her mom would always remind her to just pray and wait for her right time.
Cruz got her big break when the management of ABS-CBN picked her to play the young Cristine Reyes in the television series “Dahil sa Pag-ibig.
Since then, Cruz said ABS-CBN has been in touch with her mom while she attends several acting workshops.
“Aryana” is set to join the ABS-CBN primetime block on May 7. It is a story of a young girl who gets cursed and becomes a mermaid.
