MANILA - Maja Salvador admitted that she avoided "The Legal Wife" co-star Angel Locsin on the day they shot their much- talked-about physical confrontation in the primetime series.

In the episode of "The Legal Wife" aired on April 28, a fuming Monica (Locsin) storms Nicole's (Salvador) home and attacks her after discovering she had an affair with her husband, Adrian (Jericho Rosales).

During her live guesting on "Aquino & Abunda Tonight" on Tuesday, Salvador revealed that she and Locsin did not rehearse for the scene and that it only took 10 to 15 minutes to film.

Asked if she was hurt while shooting the confrontation, Salvador said, "Sa umpisa.

In order to prepare for the scene, Salvador said she tried to avoid Locsin even if it was the latter's birthday last April 23. Salvador explained that in the series, her character and Locsin's did not see each other after the affair was discovered.

Even then, Locsin, Salvador recalled, approached her warmly and asked how to go about their scene.

As the episode aired on Monday night, viewers took to Twitter to react to the scene, making several terms related to "The Legal Wife" trend locally and worldwide.

The episode's official hashtag, "#TLWTheRoyalRumble," became the No. 1 Philippine topic, but did not figure in the list of worldwide trends. Instead, a hashtag formulated by netizens, #TLWMasarapBa," peaked as the second most discussed topic worldwide.

The consistent presence of "The Legal Wife" in trending topics online also reflects in its strong viewership nationwide. Last April 25, it once again ruled its time slot with a national TV rating of 26.2%, according to Kantar Media, while its competing show only registered 13.3%.

"Sobrang saya po," Salvador said of the success of the series.

"The Legal Wife," which is under the direction of Rory Quintos and Dado Lumibao, airs weeknights after "Ikaw Lamang" during ABS-CBN's primetime block.

It also stars Christopher de Leon, Rio Locsin, Mark Gil, Maria Isabel Lopez, JC de Vera, Joem Bascon, Ahron Villena, Janus del Prado, and Matet de Leon.
