After earning his first best actor nod at the 37th Metro Manila Film Festival for horror flick “Segunda Mano,” Dantes returns to the big screen under Star Cinema alongside big-name Kapamilya talents.
Dantes will star with actresses Angelica Panganiban and Angel Locsin, who was a former GMA Network talent before her transfer in 2007.
Locsin, who recently signed another three-year contract with ABS-CBN, said she is excited to work with Dantes and Panganiban, as well as the film’s director Ruel Bayani, who directed the Philippines’ second highest-grossing film of all time, “No Other Woman.”
“Magsisimula na itong May [ang taping], kasama si Papa Dingdong atsaka si Angelica Panganiban. Ang magdi-direct nu'n ay si Direk Ruel Bayani, na napakagaling na direktor. I’m very excited na makatrabaho si Direk Ruel,” Locsin said in an interview with ABS-CBN News.
The film reportedly aims to replicate the success of “No Other Woman,” which told the story of a man’s struggle to choose between his mistress and his wife. The film starred actor Derek Ramsay, and actresses Anne Curtis and Cristine Reyes.
