MANILA – “Wala kaming problema ni Anne. Wala talaga.”

These were John Lloyd Cruz’s own words when asked about his relationship with Anne Curtis, months after the actress reportedly slapped him at a high-end bar in Taguig.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Wednesday, Cruz said all is well between him and Curtis and they were even supposed to work on a TV series, except that this was shelved.

“Dapat may gagawin kaming teleserye, pero dahil tatlo kami, Piolo (Pascual), Anne and ako, hindi talaga magtugma-tugma ang schedules namin,” he explained.

Curtis is currently doing the remake of the fantasy series “Dyesebel,” while Pascual is also gearing up for his television comeback.

“Sabi namin maybe sa movie na lang tayo magkakasama. Ang daming possibilities. Kapag nagsara ka [ng pinto], dapat magbubukas ka ng iba,” he said.

Apart from the weekly sitcom "Home Sweetie Home," Cruz said he is currently focused on his upcoming movie with Jessy Mendiola, Richard Gomez and Gretchen Barretto to be directed by Chito Rono.

“Nagkaroon kami ng pagpupulong a couple of days ago. Nagkaroon lang ng major script revision kaya na-stop kami. And siyempre alam niyo naman si direk Chito maraming inaasikaso so medyo natigil lang kami. Pero right now, pasimula na kami ulit, pabalik na,” he said.

Cruz said he is looking forward to working with the three stars, especially Mendiola, whom he described as having a “nakakakabang kagandahan.”

“Yung mga eksena namin, medyo distant pa 'yung characters namin. Kumbaga hindi pa umiinit… Hindi niya kailangang kabahan,” he said referring to Mendiola.

As to sharing scenes with Barretto, the Kapamilya actor said, “Napaka-exciting kung iisipin kasi as we all know, si Gretchen very iconic figure sa showbiz. Strong 'yung kanyang personality. Nae-excite akong makita siya in her character kasi opposite talaga ng personality niya.”

As for Gomez, Cruz said they have already worked together before.

“Medyo kilala ko si Kuya Goma. Kapag nagda-dialogue ako sa ‘Palibahasa Lalake,’ inaangat niya lagi 'yung damit ko. [But so far], 'yung mga eksena ko, ako lang and si Jessy pa lang,” he said.
