Bernice Lee posts bail on grave coercion charge
MANILA - Bernice Lee, one of the accused in the Vhong Navarro case, posted bail in connection with the grave coercion charges filed against her on Tuesday, after being arrested Monday night.
Lee paid P12,000 as bail at the Taguig Regional Trial Court (RTC) after being charged for grave coercion by actor Vhong Navarro.
She was arrested Monday night at her residence in West Greenhills, San Juan, Quezon City after not being able to post bail after being charged with grave coercion last week.
Lee, along with Jose Calma, are not included in the arrest warrants issued by the court on Monday against model Deniece Cornejo, businessman Cedric Lee, Jed Fernandez, Simeon Raz Jr. and Ferdinand Guerrero in connection with the serious illegal detention case filed by Navarro.
However, the Department of Justice (DOJ) is looking into filing a motion for warrants of arrests against her and Calma for serious illegal detention.
Bernice Lee left the Taguig RTC past 11 a.m., and headed to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to process her release order.
