MANILA, Philippines – Two years after his stint on reality show "Pinoy Big Brother," former housemate Paul Jake Castillo has signed with Viva Entertainment.
Castillo joins fellow ex-housemate Sam Pinto, who was formerly linked to him, as a contract artist of Viva’s talent management firm.
Asked about his move to sign with Viva, Castillo said he has yet to set expectations in terms of changes in his career.
"It feels good. I'm happy I signed up with them," he said. “Actually, I don't know what to expect. This is my first with a different talent agency."
Castillo added that he is also open to the possibility of transferring to another station if his manager recommends it.
“If they think it's a good move for me, then why not. I'm really open to any opportunity,” Castillo said.
In preparation for his showbiz career, Castillo said he has enrolled in workshops, adding he will focus on acting first before trying performing on stage.
"Probably [I’ll concentrate] more on acting. Singing, I don't have a talent on that. Dancing, the more I don't have talent,” Castillo said.
Castillo, who is currently dating actress Melissa Ricks, was first runner-up in the “Double Up” edition of “Pinoy Big Brother” in 2010.
