It's Piolo Pascual's first teleserye in four years -- and his fans took to Twitter to share their delight in welcoming him back.
"Since I Found You," which premiered on Monday, marked his first appearance in a television drama series since 2014's "Hawak Kamay."
In the primetime series, Pascual plays Nathan, a cold-hearted businessman who was hardened by his experiences as a child abandoned in the slums and by being stood up on his wedding day by his fiance.
The pilot showed how he met Arci Muñoz's Dani character -- Dani was trying to sell him a pack of cigarettes as a promo girl at a club, and he mistook her for a prostitute.
If there was any pressure that came with returning to primetime TV after a long break, Pascual can take comfort in that much of the reaction towards "Since I Found You" were positive.
Many praised the balance between the heavy scenes (the reveal of his tragic backstory) and the show's funnier moments, which usually featured his other co-star, Empoy Marquez.
This is Marquez's first show with ABS-CBN after starring in the smash hit "Kita Kita," which was produced by Pascual. His co-star, Alessandra de Rossi, is also in "Since I Found You."
He plays Nathan's loyal driver, James Ribs.
"Since I Found You" is directed by Antoinette Jadaone, who helmed the hit show "On the Wings of Love."
