MANILA, Philippines – The Quezon City Prosecutor's Office has upheld the 14 counts of libel filed against talent manager Annabelle Rama in connection with her tirades on the Internet against former actress Nadia Montenegro.

In a 30-page resolution obtained by ABS-CBN News on Monday, the Quezon City Prosecutor's Office said Rama’s accusations on the microblogging site Twitter against Montenegro are malicious and against the law whether there’s truth to them or not.

The fiscal, however, junked the child abuse case filed by Montenegro’s children against the talent manager saying there was no sufficient evidence found.

The fiscal said Montenegro’s children remain under the direct supervision of the actress and not with Rama.

Due to lack of probable cause, the prosecutor’s office also dismissed the attempted kidnapping rap filed by Rama against Montenegro following the recent incident when the actress brought policemen to the talent manager’s office in Quezon City.

Furthermore, the fiscal junked the attempted physical injuries case filed against Rama.

“They can still appeal this with the DOJ (Department of Justice) if they don't agree with us,” said QC chief prosecutor Donald Lee.

The 30-page resolution is the culmination of the long-standing tiff between Rama and Montenegro which has affected a lot of people in show business, as well as their families.

Both camps have refused to comment on the court resolution until they receive their respective copies.

Meanwhile, Montenegro was reportedly rushed to the hospital on Sunday because of heart palpitation. – from a report by Mario Dumaual, ABS-CBN News
