MANILA, Philippines – Actress Gretchen Barretto denied that there is a conflict between her and “Princess and I” lead star Kathryn Bernardo.

“The Buzz” host Toni Gonzaga revealed on Sunday that there have been reports that Bernardo got intimidated with Barretto while they were taping the television series in Bhutan.

But Barretto was quick to refute the issue. The actress said she and Bernardo, in fact, have a close relationship and that they spent a lot of time together in Bhutan.

“Totoo ba? Parang hindi halata," Barreto said. "Friends kami kasi noong wala na kaming taping sa hapon sa Bhutan, kuwento kami ng kuwento. Parati ko siyang pinapangaralan.”

Meanwhile, actor Albert Martinez lauded Bernardo and actors Enrique Gil, Khalil Ramos and Daniel Padilla whom he said were very professional while taping the show.

Martinez said he thinks these youngsters have what it takes to be successful in show business.

“Lahat sila focused and serious. I believe that is the key ingredient to success,” he said.

“Princess and I” will start airing on Monday, April 16.
