Gerald reacts to appeal of Maja's mom
MANILA – Gerald Anderson said he understands the apparent reservation of the mother of Maja Salvador about his rumored romance with the 24-year-old actress.
In an interview on "Showbiz Inside Report" aired Saturday, the 24-year-old actor addressed the statement made by Salvador’s mother, Thelma Andres, during an interview on the same program last week.
"Ganoon talaga, eh. Angel nila 'yon, eh, prinsesa nila 'yon," he said.
Last Saturday, Andres said she has yet to get to know the actor, who has openly admitted to courting Salvador.
"Hindi pa masyado [kampante], anak, kasi nga hindi ko pa nakakasama. Maayos naman siyang kausap, at alam ko namang mabait na tao," Andres said.
Asked for her message to the Anderson, Salvador's mom said, "Basta hindi lang siya paiiyakin, hindi sasaktan. Ayoko lang kasi siya (Salvador) nakikitang ganoon kasi ako 'yung mas lalong nasasaktan."
The "Budoy" star also related that he and Salvador enjoyed their vacation together during Holy Week, when photos of them holding hands while scuba diving were posted online, hinting at a blooming relationship.
"Lahat kami masaya, sobra kaming nag-enjoy. Kung ano 'yung nakikita sa mga mukha namin... kumbaga 'di ko naman kailangan mag-confirm o mag-deny," he said.
