MANILA – Gerald Anderson has confirmed that all's well now between him and former girlfriend, actress Kim Chiu.
The reconciliation between the two former "Pinoy Big Brother" teen housemates reportedly happened at the Dreamscape party on Monday.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News’ Marie Lozano on Thursday, Anderson said he and the “Ikaw Lamang” star have indeed patched things up but refused to provide details of what they talked about.
“It's good. It's true. Everyone is happy so love, love, love. It's something I really don't want to comment on kasi before that, everything was so publicized. Nabalita sa media. So this is something na it happened so it's really good,” he said.
After joining the first teen edition of "Pinoy Big Brother" in 2006, Anderson and Chiu became a popular showbiz love team and eventually became a couple in real life.
The two, however, broke up in 2010, which also marked the end of their onscreen team-up, much to the dismay of their loyal followers.
Anderson and Chiu reunited onscreen via the romance anthology "24/7 In Love" in late 2012, two months before the actor became romantically linked to Maja Salvador.
The confirmation of their status as a couple reportedly estranged Chiu from both Anderson and Salvador, who was known to be her close friend and confidant.
Early this month, Anderson went on the record and said he is glad that “everything is much better” now between him and Chiu.
With his confirmation that they have already settled their issues, Anderson said he is willing to work with his former love team again.
“Of course. We are in one family, we are in ABS-CBN. Siyempre marami pa ring fans na nag-aabang. Why not? In the future sige,” he said. “One step at a time. Hindi naman natin pwede madaliin.”
