The wedding ceremony  of  Parañaque City Councilor Alma Moreno and Marawi City Mayor Sultan Fahad “Pre” Salic was aired for the first time over “SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon” Wednesday.

Moreno and Salic tied the knot last March 21 at the Vistamar Resort in Cebu City. The day after, television host Boy Abunda announced on “The Buzz” the news of Moreno’s wedding.

A clip of the Muslim matrimonial rite was shown on SNN. The video showed the “imam” or officiant declaring the two man and wife after the sincerity of the couple to each other was ascertained and the dowry was given.

The exchange of wedding ring was also done during the rite.

The slicing of cake, releasing of doves and the bride’s tossing of bouquet were also infused during the rite to observe the Catholic wedding tradition.

The happiness and excitement of the couple were evident in their smiles.

Moreno is the second wife of the Muslim mayor and this is also the actress-turned-politician's second marriage.

Meanwhile, Moreno’s children, who were present in the event, wished her a happy marriage.

Winwyn gave kind words to her mother: “Congratulations, kasal na kayo. I’m so happy for you. Sana lagi kang masaya. Sana lagpasan niyo lahat if ever may problems na darating sa inyo, magmahalan lang kayo. And Uncle Mayor, thank you for making my mom really happy. I wish you all the best and dapat ‘yong love niyo forever na.”

“At last buo na naman ang nanay ko at buo rin si Mayor. Magmahalan kayo, walang away, usapan lang,” Vandolph said.

Moreno had relationships with several men in show business such as action star Rudy Fernandez, King of Comedy Dolphy and comedian Joey Marquez.

It was in 1976 when she first worked with Fernandez in the movie “Bitayin si Baby Ama” and bore a son, who’s also one of the famous actors of his time, Mark Anthony Fernandez.

She and Dolphy also have a son, Vandolph, who’s now making a name for himself as a comedian like his father.

In 1992, Moreno married Marquez. They were gifted with four children, Yeoj, VJ, Winwyn and Em Em, during their 12 years of marriage. In 2004, however, Moreno and Marquez went on separate ways.

Moreno had a few brief relationships after the separation until she met Salic.

Their love story began when both attended the Philippine Councilor’s League wherein Moreno acted as the national secretary general.
