MANILA, Philippines - Kaye Abad still refused to confirm if she and “Parokya ni Edgar” vocalist Chito Miranda have already broken up.

People close to the musician say that the 2 are already separated, but those in the actress’s circle claim that the relationship is still ongoing.

During the celebrity bar night for the film “Babe, I Love You,” ABS-CBN.com asked Abad if she’s single or still in a relationship. The actress only smiled and said: “I’m happy. ‘Yon lang. Laughs.

Abad was spotted at the bar night with rumored suitor Guji Lorenzana, who plays a supporting role in “Babe, I Love You.”

The actress immediately clarified: “Inimbitahan talaga ako ni Nikki (Valdez) tonight. It just so happened na part si Guji ng movie. Kaya kami nandito pareho.”

Romance reportedly started to blossom between Abad and Lorenzana when they worked together in “Precious Hearts Romances (PHR) Presents: Bud Brothers” and “Somewhere in My Heart.”

ABS-CBN.com asked Abad if they went out on dates after their TV series, she said: “Wala namang mga ganoon. Kapag lumalabas kami laging grupo.”

She also denied speculations that they failed to enjoy a real-life romance because PHR ended abruptly. “Wala namang naudlot. Laughs. Friends pa rin naman kami ngayon. Nagkikita rin kami paminsan minsan.”

Abad added that she is willing to work with Lorenzana again hopefully in another TV drama.

“Alam ko may inaayos pa silang project uli namin. Magkasama sila ni Nikki sa ‘Magkano ang Iyong Dangal,’” she said.

In the teleserye, Abad plays the young aunt of “bida-contrabida” Angelica Panganiban.

Palaban siya,” she said.

According to her, what makes “Rubi” unique is its fusion of drama and comedy.
