MANILA – Yeng Constantino does not think her engagement to Yan Asuncion happened so sudden with only eight months into their relationship.
In an interview with ABS-CBNnews.com at the sidelines of Myx Music Awards 2014 on Wednesday, Contantino said she does not see the need to prolong something which she knows is right.
“Wala naman pong maaga sa pagmamahal. Bakit mo pa papatagalin ang isang bagay na alam mo namang tama?” she said.
Asuncion, for his part, said, “Sigurado na kami so it’s something na bakit pa namin papatagalin? She’s the one I want to spend my life with.”
Asuncion said he did not even fear that Constantino would say no to his proposal.
“Wala naman akong fear kasi I know her heart. Alam ko yung love niya for me and alam ko rin yung love ko for her. She’s worth the risk. I took the jump,” he said.
But isn’t Constantino afraid that her career might get affected once she gets married?
When I look at him, alam ko lang talaga na he’s worth it. Hindi ko naman kailangan matakot. Naniniwala ako sa verse na perfect love drives out fear,” she explained.
Constantino said she will continue to sing for as long as people support her.
The couple said they are already planning their wedding which they want to happen early next year.
