MANILA - Sexy actress Ellen Adarna defended herself over comments that she is "wild" and "liberated."
In a recent interview with reporters, Adarna made it clear that there is nothing wrong with being "non-traditional."
She also stressed that she does not "sleep with just random guys."
"I don't think there is anything wrong with that. Not naman in a way na pakawala ako sa mga lalaki. I don't sleep with just random guys. Ang mga relationships ko nagla-last ng three years. Pinakamatagal ko ay seven years. Magwa-one year na po ako, hindi po months," she said.
"Mahilig lang ako lumabas. We are very non-traditional. I don't think there is anything wrong with that kasi ganoon ako lumaki," added Adarna, who admitted that she was kicked out of their house when she was 18 to learn how to be independent.
"I never put myself in a situation na pwede akong bastusin," she explained. "If lumalabas ako, puma-party ako kasama ko ang barkada ko, kapatid ko o boyfriend ko. So never nangyari na nabastos ako kasi nagwala ako on my own."
Adarna went on to stress that she would rather not change anything about herself despite criticisms.
"People love that about me. I'm not gonna change. Ganito na ako at mahirap maging plastic. Kung ayaw nila 'yung pagka-frank, truthful at open ko, I think hindi ko na problema 'yon," she said.
Currently, Adarna is preparing for her debut soap on ABS-CBN, "Moon of Desire," which will premiere on Monday (March 31).
