MANILA - "It's Showtime" host Jugs Jugueta said he is still and will always be in love with music.

While his day job involves hosting "It's Showtime," Jugueta stressed that his band, Itchyworms, is still his passion.

He said he has been with the band for 18 years.

"Ang Itchyworms, magkakasama na kami for 18 years. Mas matagal na kami ay magkakasama kaysa hindi magkasama, so hinding-hindi kami magkakahiwalay kasi pamilya na kami. Hindi lang siya banda... pamilya siya. Sa totoo lang, siya ang bakasyon ko technically. Isipin mo, ang 'It's Showtime' ay day job. Actually, sa totoo lang, walang yumayaman na nagbabanda. Ang yumaman lang ay Eraserheads at sila ay may pare-parehong day job at sari-sariling banda. So it's really for the art, for myself, 'yung banda, 'yung kasiyahan mo kasi kahit na matanda ka pwede kang magbanda," Jugueta said in an interview during a press conference for Ginebra San Miguel's Ginuman Fest Series.

He went on to say that Itchyworms will remain "as long as we make good music."

"Siguro hindi lahat napapakinggan ng masa at 'di lahat umaabot sa pinakasuluk-sulukang probinsya, pero kami solid kami, masaya kami sa ganoon," he said.

Itchyworms is set to relaunch the album "After All This Time" soon.

The band is also part of this year's GSM Ginuman Fest Series along with Callalily and Banda ni Kleggy in Calapan, Mindoro on March 21; and with Kenyo and Georgina Wilson in San Fernando, La Union on March 28.

Also expected to be part of the event are Marian Rivera, Jhong Hilario, Paulo Avelino, Anne Curtis and the band Rocksteddy.

The GSM Ginuman Fest Series will also be held in Imus, Cavite (April), Tagudin, Ilocos Sur (April 4), Cauayan, Isabela (April 5), San Jose, Nueva Ecija (April 11), Bayambang, Pangasinan (April 12), Baliuag, Bulacan (May 9), Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya (May 17), Tuguegarao, Cagayan Valley (June 14), Daet, Camarines Norte (June 19) and San Juan, Metro Manila (June 21).
