MANILA - Film director Paul Soriano said Wednesday that his next "big project" is to marry long-time girlfriend Toni Gonzaga.
Soriano, who will celebrate his 8th anniversary with the actress in June, admitted that the wedding is likely to happen soon.
"Definitely, the next step in my life is the wedding," he told ABS-CBN News' Mario Dumaual on Tuesday. "But I've got to propose first! Then we do the wedding. But [it will be] very soon."
"It's very hard to surprise a woman, so I can't really say so much about it. It's got to be special," Soriano added.
Gonzaga, who turned 30 in January, has likewise been vocal of her plans to settle down with Soriano, noting that both her parents are "ready" for the prospect of her getting married.
"The ball's in my court," Soriano said in an earlier interview. "I guess for me, my plan [to propose marriage] is when she least expects it."
