Diego Loyzaga happy with supporting role in 'Mirabella'
Actor Diego Loyzaga
MANILA - Actor Diego Loyzaga said he does not mind if he did not get the leading man role in the upcoming ABS-CBN series "Mirabella" starring Julia Barretto.
In an interview during the press conference of "Mirabella," which will premiere on March 24, Loyzaga said what is important is that he is still part of the soap.
"Nabigyan ako ng pagkakataon na makasama sa isang primetime show ng ABS-CBN, na makasama ko pa si Julia Barretto. It's an honor po. It's an honor for anybody to be in my position. It's an honor," said Loyzaga, who worked as Barretto's leading man in the "Wansapanataym" episode "Petrang Paminta."
In "Mirabella," Loyzaga acts as one of the antagonists.
"Look, I'm still in the cast and we are happy... I still work for ABS-CBN. It's ABS-CBN's decision and I'm still more than happy because I'm still part of the cast. Like I said, a happy set is a good set. We are a very happy set. It doesn't matter what character we portray. Being actors, whatever character is given to us, we will portray it. So bida man or support, it's all the same. Okay ako sa whatever role I get," he said.
"Maiiba ako dito sa role ko. Kung napanood mo ako, siguro nakilala mo ako bilang boy next door, pasimple at pa-cute na lalaki. Dito ay bully ako. Maiinis kayo sa akin dito. Sana kung mainis kayo, ibig sabihin I did my job well. So abangan niyo kung paano ako magpapahirap sa buhay ni Mira at sa barkada ni Sam," he added.
