Is the country's Pop Princess and Box Office Queen Sarah Geronimo trying out a new leading man?
Newspaper reports earlier said VIVA Films is considering Gerald Anderson to be Geronimo's new screen partner for her next movie. VIVA Films and Star Cinema produced Geronimo's blockbuster movies "A Very Special Love" and its sequel "You Changed My Life."
"You Changed My Life" has reportedly sold P170 million worth of tickets in its first two weeks in local moviehouses.
Geronimo, who partnered with John Lloyd Cruz in her last two movies, said some fans may not like her teamup with Anderson.
"Medyo mahirap 'yan kasi alam naman natin na ka-love team ni Gerald si (Kim Chiu). Bahala na kung ano ang will ni Lord at ng management kung ano talaga kung ano ang ma-settle na," she said.
Geronimo said that there are still a lot of things to consider before she can shoot another movie with a new leading man.
"Hindi ko naman pwedeng sabihing I fully agree. Maraming kailangang intindihin pa muna," Geronimo explained.
For his part, Anderson said he is overwhelmed with the idea of working with the reigning Box Office Queen.
Anderson said that while there is no direct offer for him to do a project with Geronimo, he is welcome to the idea of working with the country's Pop Princess. "It will be fine. When I heard it, nakaka-overwhelm talaga," Anderson said.
Right now, Geronimo is abroad for her “The Next One: US Tour” with Charlie Green, Billy Crawford and ex-suitor Mark Bautista. Anderson is busy taping for his hit television series “Tayong Dalawa” with Kim Chiu and Gerald Anderson.
