MANILA - Veteran comedienne Ai Ai delas Alas told members of the media to stop asking her about host-actress Kris Aquino as she reacted to rumors that she and her celebrity friend are not on good terms.
Delas Alas, who appeared evasive when talking about Aquino, appealed to let the issue rest.
"Hindi kami galit. Huwag niyo nang tanungin about si Kris. Kasi lumalaki nang wala namang kwenta. Manahimik na lang," she said in an interview shortly after the press conference for her upcoming series, "Dyesebel."
During the "Dyesebel" press conference on Thursday, de las Alas said she is open to guesting on "Aquino & Abunda Tonight," Aquino's show with her talent manager Boy Abunda.
She admitted, however, that she prefers to have Abunda do the interview with her.
"Oo, willing naman ako. Willing naman ako, oo naman, wala naman sa akin 'yon. Alam naman natin na marami kaming pinagsamahan ni Kris.
"[Kung si Kris ang magi-interview?] OK lang. Pero mas maganda kung si Boy na lang, oo siyempre ama ko yon. Huwag kayong ganyan, intrigera kayo," she said.
The rift allegedly stemmed from Aquino's absence while delas Alas was mourning the death of her biological mother.
Aquino was in London when delas Alas' mother passed away.
