MANILA - After her successful film "Starting Over Again," Toni Gonzaga is back to recording her newest album.
"Actually we started the album last year pa kaya lang because of the schedule and demand na kailangang tapusin ang pelikula, na-hold ang mga songs na dapat i-record. Ang target talagang release ng album ay November of last year, but dahil sa mga nangyari [na-delay siya]. Pero we are really, really happy na after ng movie ay saka siya mare-release," Gonzaga told ABS-CBN News.
She said her album under Star Records will feature "feel-good" songs.
"So far wala pa siyang working title but overall...it's a feel good album, something that is easy listening, you can play it in the car. Basta kung gusto mo ng album na mase-set ka sa good mood, you want to smile, have a good day, 'yun ang feel ng buong album," she said.
"Actually, we are almost done sa album. I think one last song na lang ang we are go to release," she added.
'Starting Over Again 2'
Until now, Gonzaga is extending her appreciation to all Filipinos who watched "Starting Over Again" which she co-stars with Piolo Pascual.
Asked if she would want the hit movie to have a sequel, Gonzaga said: "Kami ni PJ pinag-usapan namin 'yan. Personally ayaw na namin parang gusto na namin siyang tapusin nang ganoon. Masyadong madaming pinagdaanan ang characters nila, masakit, masyadong malalim ang alaala na binuo nila, parang gusto naming tapusin doon."
But she was quick to add: "Pero siyempre, everything is depende sa management kung ano ang desisyon nila."
Directed by Olivia Lamasan, "Starting Over Again" also stars Iza Calzado.
