Comedian and dancer Vhong Navarro denied reports that he has something to do with the rumored pregnancy of sexy comedienne Kitkat.
"Oo nga, may report na ganoon. Hindi kasi, si Kitkat kasi mayroon kaming ginagawang pelikula eh iyong time na may sakit siya, vertigo laging nasa shooting so noong lumabas ang pelikula siyempre nandoon ako, ako iyong naanuhan. (Yes, there were reports like that. What happened was when we were shooting a movie there were times that she was sick and suffered from vertigo. And since we are working together, my name was dragged into the issue), Navarro told abs-cbnNEWS.com after guesting on DZMM’s Showbiz Mismo with veteran entertainment columnist and host Cristy Fermin.
Navarro’s statement stemmed from reports that Kitkat, this month's FHM centerfold model, is an expectant mom. Kitkat has belied these reports, and added that she is not yet ready to be a mother.
Navarro joked, that for him, the reports were just fine since it is publicity for their movie. "Pagpo-promote na din ng pelikula 'yon," he said.
The actor also said that his relationship with Kitkat is simply one of friendship. "So, wala, hindi ka mabubuntis sa pag-uusap. Friends kami. (So it’s not true, you can’t get pregnant by just talking. We are just friends)," Navarro explained.
Navarro started his career as a member of the dance group "Street Boys". He was then discovered by Director Chito Roño, who continues to serve as his manager. He is well-known for his movies "Mr. Suave" and "Gagamboy". Late last year, the self-proclaimed Jim Carrey of the Philippines launched his first television series "Lastikman."
Navarro is now busy promoting his latest film "Supapahlicious", and is a regular performer of ABS-CBN’s weekly variety show "ASAP."
