One of the country's favorite bands Shamrock is doing the rounds on television screens to promote their latest album entitled "Ikaw Lang."
"Yes (we have a new album and) it's out already. Hindi pa namin masyadong napo-promote but as of now ito yung first wave namin ng TV show na ipo-promote namin yung bagong album. So, hopefully mapakinggan ng tao," the group's vocalist Marc Tupaz told abs-cbnNews.com Wednesday morning after performing for ABS-CBN's morning show "Umagang Kay Ganda."
Tupaz said they themselves produced this album, which contains nine songs. Most of these are original compositions of the band.
The songs include: "Huwag kang Magtakot", "Ikaw Lang" and their own versions of "All I Need" and "Hold On."
"'All I Need' is a remake, "Huwag Kang Matakot" is a song that actually lahat kami nag-compose... I put some lyrics into it tapos nilagyan din namin ng melody. (There are) nine songs and we have a version of "Hold On" na gusto na naming irelease originally narelease na namin ngayon," he added.
Tupaz said they are busy with their out of town shows, and only occasionally perform live in Manila.
"Wala kaming regular gigs na stop namin yung regular gigs siguro mga two years ago dahil sa exhaustion din hindi na din namin kinakaya pero palagi nila kaming makikita either sa mga town fiestas o mga radio shows puro out of town, marami ding Manila na locally produced so hanapin na lang nila," the vocalist explained.
At the end of interview, Tupaz appealed to the public especially to music enthusiasts to stop buying pirated CDs.
"Hopefully sana always buy original music. Ang [hindi kasi maganda] sa mga CD na na-access from internet at mga bumibili ng pirated ay you won't really get to know the product unless you really buy original because kumpleto ang information doon and basta maraming iba pa doon. You see maraming kwento ang isang awitin," he ended.

Shamrock composed and performed the 2006's popular song "Alipin."
