MANILA -- Hawaiian hitmaker Jeff James has posted two ukelele covers of Filipino hits: Bamboo's "Masaya" and Jireh Lim's "Buko."

Teaming up with Rock Man Studios Philippines, the international recording artist released a stripped down version of the two OPM hits, which has almost 200,000 combined views on YouTube.

"I'm happy that Filipinos liked my first Tagalog cover song...even if I still don't know much of Tagalog," he wrote on his Facebook page.

An ambassador of local music group Ukulele Manila, James has already two albums under his belt and has won Top Brand Philippines' 2013 Most Promising International Male Singer Performer of The Year. He is also recording his third studio album, set to be released in the Philippines under Rockman Productions.

"I recently moved to Philippines to explore more and for my Philippine album release and I definitely loving it here!" he said.
