MANILA - Maja Salvador said she is unaffected by a recent project of her boyfriend Gerald Anderson, which had the actor paired with his former girlfriend, Kim Chiu.

"Ah, siyempre pag work, work. Wala naman ho tayong ano doon... Wala pong isyu sa akin, okay ako sa lahat," Salvador told ABS-CBN News' Marie Lozano on Tuesday, on the sidelines of the shooting of her new music video.

Last February 26, photos of Anderson and Chiu at a pictorial surfaced online, getting thrilled reactions from fans of the tandem dubbed "Kimerald." It was later revealed that the shoot was for an upcoming ad campaign of a jewelry brand they both endorse.

Fellow housemates in "Pinoy Big Brother" in 2006, Anderson and Chiu became a popular love team in the following years, and eventually became a couple in real life.

The two, however, broke up in 2010. This also marked the end of their onscreen team-up, much to the dismay of their loyal followers.

Anderson and Chiu eventually reunited onscreen via the romance anthology "24/7 In Love" in late 2012, two months before the actor and Salvador were romantically linked in January the following year.

The confirmation of their status as a couple reportedly estranged Chiu from both Anderson and Salvador, who was known to be her close friend and confidant.

Asked if she is still affected by criticisms directed at her and Anderson, Salvador said, "Hinahayaan nalang namin, e. Mas okay na 'yung mas tahimik."

The "Thelma" star also addressed speculation as to whether she and Anderson remain a couple, which was supposedly triggered by her lack of posts on social media about the actor and their relationship.

"Siguro mas tahimik, mas maganda nalang. Hayaan mo nalang silang mag-isip kung ano 'yung nangyayari talaga," she said.
