MANILA – Angelica Panganiban admitted that it took some time before she agreed to do her upcoming movie with Gerald Anderson.
In an article posted by Star Cinema on its website on Monday, Panganiban said she is not the type who simply accepts any project that is offered to her.
"To be honest, syempre kailangan mo naman talagang pag-isipan lahat ng projects. Hindi naman pwedeng kapag sinabi sa’yo okay na, okay ka na agad," she said.
"Syempre madami kang dapat i-consider. Paano mo ba to gagawin? Nagawa ko na ba to? Nakita na ba nila akong ganito?" she added.
The Star Cinema-produed film is set to be directed by Ruel Bayani. It is a drama film that promises an "adult and restrained" take on romance on the big screen.
Bayani also said the movie will feature "a story of great love."
In a previous interview with ABS-CBNnews.com, Panganiban said she has no worries about working with Anderson because she trusts Bayani, who personally picked both of them.
"I'm sure magiging madali rin kasama si Gerald," Panganiban said. "Kumbaga kino-consider ko na kami talaga mga paborito ni Direk Ruel. 'Diba, kung gusto niya si Gerald, at gusto niya ako, I'm sure meron kaming something in common."
While other cast members have yet to be announced, the still untitled project of Panganiban and Anderson is reportedly set to be released in a few months.
