1. Sandwich marks 20th anniversary
This year, Sandwich is celebrating 20 years as a band.
To commemorate, Raimund Marasigan and his crew announced a concert at the Metrotent Convention Center in Pasig. The performance goes down on April 13. Tickets are available online and at SM Ticket outlets.
Sandwich was founded in 1998, with their classic debut album, "Grip Stand Throw," arriving the same year. They are considered to be one of the country's best, having picked up every award a rock band can possibly have in Manila.
2. Rex Smith returns to Manila
American singer-actor Rex Smith returns to the country for a one-night only concert entitled "Broadway and Beyond" on March 14, 8 p.m., at Resorts World Manila's Newport Performing Arts Theater.
The concert highlights his own set of Broadway hits from "The Phantom of the Opera," "Grease," "Jesus Christ Superstar," and "The Sound of Music."
Smith is known for such classics as “Simply Jesse”, “Let’s Make a Memory”, “You Take My Breath Away”, and “Everlasting Love.”
He will also show another side of himself as he is set to cover other Top 40 pop classics from such bands as Spandau Ballet, Tears for Fears, and Wang Chung.
3. OPM, Kapamilya stars at Robinsons Malls
Kapamilya heartthrobs are set to invade Robinsons Malls for special performances during Robinsons Malls Hot Summer Sale, which happens on March 15 to 18.
Catch Tony Labrusca at Robinsons Place Naga on March 16; Jerome Ponce at Robinsons Place Palawan on March 17; and Inigo Pascual at Robinsons Starmills Pampanga on March 18.
McCoy De Leon and Elise Joson are also set to spread kilig-vibes at Robinsons Place Santiago on March 17 and at Robinsons Place General Trias on March 18.
On March 17, catch Matteo Guidicelli as he promotes his newest album at Robinsons Metro East, while over at Robinsons Place Antipolo, Yeng Constantino holds her album tour. JC Santos serenades the crowd at Robinsons Place Lipa with Klarisse. OPM band Rivermaya rocks Robinsons Place Las Piñas, while Hazel Faith brings her new music for the crowd at Robinsons Place General Trias.
On March 18, Rivermaya will continue to rock at Robinsons Place Dasmariñas, while Hazel Faith will be at Robinsons Place Lipa.
Finally, grab the opportunity to take center stage as ABS-CBN’s “I Can See Your Voice” holds its auditions at Robinsons Place Imus. Based on the original South Korean game show of the same name, both SEE-ngers and SEE-ntunados alike are invited to audition on March 18 to test your singing skills.
4. Manulife signs Bianca Gonzalez for new app
Manulife Philippines has partnered with celebrity mom Bianca Gonzalez-Intal to educate parents about saving for their children’s college education with GradMaker, a mobile application that offers flexible and convenient investing.
Even though her daughter is only two years old, the TV host knows she needs to start saving now to give her child a good education.
“My husband and I were looking at tuition fees and it’s sort of crazy how high they will be by the time our daughter enters university,” Gonzalez-Intal said. “It made us want to start saving and investing for that right away.”
GradMaker, launched in January 2018, is designed for parents who may be too busy to meet with investment counselors or financial advisors. They can get started with just P10,000. Customers can buy policies anytime, subject to terms and conditions, and are not bound to a monthly payment schedule because they decide when to invest.
Customers can pay for policies online using their credit or debit card. GradMaker is a free download on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store for select Android and iOS devices.

6. How Dolly Anne Carvajal, son IC treat body pains
Actor IC Mendoza has recently discovered the Medsonix Acoustic Resonating Therapy to help soothe the lower back pain he has been experiencing after regularly playing volleyball and going to the gym.
Similarly, his mom, entertainment columnist Dolly Anne Carvajal, has also tried the therapy after repeatedly complaining of shoulder pain. She attests the therapy has been a big help to ease her mobility, especially in carrying even her shoulder bag while walking.
