Maja, Sarah hug in viral video
MANILA - A smiling Sarah Geronimo is seen hugging Maja Salvador, the current girlfriend of her erstwhile suitor Gerald Anderson, in a video taken last Sunday which has since gone viral.
The 93-second clip, which was uploaded on YouTube by user SarahMatt Po, shows the closing moments of the live episode of "ASAP" last February 23.
Geronimo appears to reach out to Salvador (00:26) to pull her closer, shortly after the latter joined her and other stars on stage. The two are then seen hugging (00:31) as they continue to talk to each other.
The video, as of writing, already had over 64,000 views.
The relationship of Geronimo and Salvador, who co-starred in the 2006 TV series "Bituing Walang Ningning," has been the subject of speculation due to their respective ties with Anderson and actor Matteo Guidicelli.
Anderson reportedly started courting Salvador not long after he admitted that he had stopped pursuing Geronimo, with whom he co-starred in two films in 2011.
When the first reports romantically linking Anderson and Salvador surfaced in January 2013, Geronimo herself made headlines when she talked about "womanizers" on her live musical TV show. She later apologized for "misbehaving" and alluding to Anderson.
Geronimo is now rumored to be in a relationship with Guidicelli, Salvador's boyfriend of one year until August 2012.
In an interview in October 2013, Salvador said she would not be surprised if Guidicelli ended up with Geronimo, noting that the two were previously linked before their relationship.
Geronimo was paired with both Guidicelli and Anderson in the 2011 film "Catch Me, I'm in Love." At the time, Guidicelli was openly expressed his admiration for the pop singer.
