MANILA -- Hollywood acting coach Ivana Chubbuck, who has trained stars like Halle Berry, Charlize Theron, Beyonce and Brad Pitt, was impressed with the acting talents of "Starting Over Again" stars Iza Calzado, Toni Gonzaga and especially Piolo Pascual.
Ivana, who arrived in the country on Thursday morning for a two-day workshop for Star Magic artists, revealed that she watched the short clip of the Star Cinema hit while on her way to the event.
"I want to see that (Starting Over Again) I saw that in the elevator, looks like a really, really good movie," she said.
"I'm really looking forward to working with the guy (Pascual) because he looks talented and very handsome and so it will be fun to work with him," Chubbuck said.
Pascual and Calzado will be present at the workshop.
"Pupunta ako sa workshop niya sa Saturday, Sunday. I will be observing. Binigyan ako ng pagkakataon ng Star Magic, thank you sa pag-adopt niya sa akin, I will be there. I hope she (Ivana) get's to watch our film and I hope I can get an opportunity to study with her, if not here perhaps abroad. It's truly an honor," Calzado told ABS-CBNNews.com.
Star Magic artist training gead Rahyan Carlos invited Chubbuck to handle a master teaching class for Gerald Anderson, Jake Cuenca, Akiko Solon, Dimples Romana, Koreen Medina, Arron Villaflor, Ynna Asistio, Arjo Atayde, Xian Lim, Sam Milby and Pascual.
Other non-Star Magic artists Carla Martinez, Issa Litton, Nico Policarpio, Christian Bables, Roj Gealon, Suzette Ranillo and Liza Dino have also also been invited to join the workshop.
Chubbuck personally assigned specific scenes to actors who will then be critiqued. She will also share some acting techniques at the workshop, which will be held on March 1-2 at the Dolphy Theater of ABS-CBN.
Meanwhile, Star Magic Workshop will offer an intensive acting workshop called "Chubbuck Technique"
under Carlos, who underwent the intensive teacher's training program with Chubbuck.
Carlos was given a certificate as the only Filipino representative authorized to teach the "Chubbuck Technique" in the Philippines.
