MANILA -- The cast of "Amazing Spider-Man 2" led by Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, along with director Marc Webb, are swinging their way to Southeast Asia to kick off this year's Earth Hour.

Spearheaded by the World Wide Fund for Nature Singapore and Earth Hour Global, the stars of the highly anticipated sequel will be in Singapore's Marina Bay to celebrate the world's largest environmental grassroots movement on March 29.

“We’re so excited that our first superhero ambassador for Earth Hour will join us for the global celebration of our planet in Singapore." Andy Ridley, CEO and co-founder of Earth Hour, said a statement.

On February 12, Garfield, Stone and Foxx announced their support for "Earth Hour Blue," a digital crowdfunding and crowdsourcing platform to help boost several environmental campaigns.

Garfield, who plays Peter Parker in the reboot, has thrown his support behind the project A Flame Called Hope, which aims to provide clean bio-gas energy for local communities in Nepal.

“I’m proud Spider-Man is the first super hero ambassador for Earth Hour because he shows we can all be super heroes when we realize the power we all have,” Garfield said.

Stone, who stars as Gwen Stacy in the sequel, has chosen to support the Puppy Protectors project, while director Webb has picked the Power Up A Ranger project. Both initiatives aim to protect and save wildlife in Nepal and Indonesia, respectively.

Set to hit theaters this summer, "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" is based on the iconic comic book character originally written by Steve Ditko and Stan Lee and published by Marvel Comics.

In the sequel, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead. With the emergence of Electro (Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. It will also feature other villains Rhino (Paul Giamatti) and the Green Goblin (David de Haan).

"The Amazing Spider-Man 2" is slated hit theaters in the Philippines on April 30.
