MANILA -- (UPDATED) Comedian Vice Ganda has officially sworn by his assertion that he was with his "It's Showtime" co-host Vhong Navarro, disproving a former pageant contestant's rape complaint against the actor-dancer.

Last Sunday, Vice Ganda told "Buzz ng Bayan" that Navarro was his special guest during his concert at the Island Cove resort in Cavite on April 24, 2010 after pageant contestant Roxanne Acosta Cabañero earlier claimed that she was raped by Navarro somewhere in Pasig City on that same night.

On Wednesday, Vice Ganda subscribed his affidavit and took his oath at the Pasig prosecutor's office.

The affidavit has not yet been submitted to the Pasig prosecutor's office because it will be attached to the counter affidavit of Navarro, which is expected to be submitted at the preliminary investigation on March 13.

In a short interview with media on Wednesday, Vice Ganda explained that he subscribed to his statement ahead of Navarro's counter affidavit because he will be leaving on Wednesday night for series of shows in US and thus won't make it to the March 13 preliminary investigation.
